The young prize-winning Russian pianist DenisKozhukhin has quickly established a formidable reputation. After his recital debut in Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw in 2014 a five-star review in De Volkskrant declared: By his final encore, the audience was lying at the feet of Denis Kozhukhin… Kozhukhin has already shown that he belongs to the vanguard of pianists.

Tonight he performs a programme of musicalriches ranging from Haydn’s witty, thoughtful and inventive piano sonatas to the lavish Romanticism of Brahms and Liszt. He ends with the latter’s magnificent transcription of Wagner’s Tannhäuser Overture.
