Save the date: Science and Engineering Day 2016 will take place on Saturday 12th March
After the hugely successful 2015 event, we invite you to the 14th Southampton Science and Engineering Day. As part of British Science Week, Saturday 12th March 2016 sees the return of our award-winning day of hands-on activities, shows and tours. This major public event aims to engage and inspire people of all ages.
The University of Southampton undertakes world-leading science and engineering research supporting a wide range of enterprises and innovations that change the world for the better. From high-value manufacturing, global communications, infrastructure construction, sustainable energy, medicine, to ocean and earth science, our research has global impact.

We’re very pleased to include our new Boldrewood Innovation Campus for 2016. We share this campus with Lloyd’s Register and they are also taking an active part in the day. Boldrewood and Highfield campuses are within easy walking distance of each other and we’ll be laying on a special bus link as well.

There are a range of catering outlets open on the Highfield Campus and on the Boldrewood Innovation Campus.
Parking
Parking is free at the weekend on the Highfield Campus and on the Boldrewood Innovation Campus. Please note that car parks at the north end of University Road will fill up quickly. Please aim to use the car park near the Jubilee Sport Centre (further down University Road), the car park off Broadlands Road (off Burgess Road), or the Lloyd’s Register multi-storey on the Boldrewood site (off Burgess Road) Please see the campus map for more information.
