170th Anniversary of Southampton Old Cemetery
Saturday 7th May 10am- 4pm
Marquee on the front lawn near the Anglian Chapel.
The ‘Friends of Southampton Old Cemetery’ (FoSOC) have organised this very special event on Saturday 7th May to celebrate the 170th anniversary of the opening of the Cemetery in 1846.
The Mayor and the Bishop of Southampton will be in attendance along with several VIP’s. There will be a marquee, two choirs, a folk singer and hopefully a band and a piper! There will also be refreshments and all are very welcome to join us. Billy, Val and Barney (their mascot) and several members will of course be there and we can’t wait to greet you all!
As always, this event is totally free but any donations would be most welcome to help the FoSOC to continue their conservation work in the Old Cemetery.
