Posted by Highfield Residents' Association on May 15, 2024 in News | 0 commentsThere is currently a petition to the Council to improve the play area at Portswod Rec, prioritising replacing the play equipment removed in 2023, install safer surfacing, and change fencing to allow better access for regular maintenance and cleaning.
The play area is popular, particularly with children from the neighbouring school. If you wish to support this very worthwhile cause, here is the link to the petition:
If the petition reaches 750, it gets debated at the Scrutiny Committee. If 1500 sign it, it gets debated by the full Council.
If you prefer to sign a paper copy of the petition for a better play area at the Rec, rather than sign on the SCC website, there is one at October Books in their shop in Portswood.
