Southampton City Council Portswood Broadway Project Team: Active Travel Zones (ATZ) co-design workshops information
Posted by Highfield Residents' Association on Jun 11, 2024 in News | 0 commentsDates have just been released for a series of ATZ co-design workshops for the Portswood Broadway Bus-gate project:
Monday 8 July, 6-7.30pm at Highfield Church hall SO17 1RL
Wednesday 10 July, 6.30-8pm Portswood Church main hall SO17 2FY
You must book a free ticket on the event page (one per person) to attend any workshop. Anyone interested can book a place not just Higfield residents or HRA members.
In order to maximise the available spaces for all, each person should only book onto one event.
We understand that numbers are limited for each session and early booking is advised.
During each workshop, residents will work together in small groups with a facilitator to discuss potential measures to calm and/or discourage traffic travelling through the local area and improve conditions for walking and wheeling. Discussions will focus primarily on Brookvale Road, Abbotts Way, Russell Place, Westridge Road and Belmont Road as these were the main streets of concern for residents at previous consultation regarding potential displaced traffic.’
HRA encourages all residents of Highfield to take an active role in these co-design workshops, whatever your position on the Bus-gate trial itself. All views are important and it is residents who could shape any ATZ measures in a way that fits with the whole community of Highfield.
