Antisocial behaviour issues – Portswood High Street

Reported in the HRA Crime information sharing WhatsApp Group on Sunday 30 June 2024 by one of our road representatives:

“Portswood seems to have taken a bit of a turn this week (week of 24 June 2024) with locals behaviour ramping up. I’ve been made aware of a fight between between drunks that spilled into Coffee#1 yesterday (29/06/24) daytime (police attended), homeless/drunks sunbathing on the street, derogatory comments being shouted at passing women (reported), clear side effects of drug taking on display etc. It seems to have become worse this past week. Not sure if it’s the weather but something seems to have changed the behaviours. Before, we all saw them but they generally minded their own business and didn’t bother anyone.”
