Ethical Issues in Medical Practice — genetic testing and precision medicine
Anneke Lucassen is Professor of Clinical Genetics at the University of Southampton. She addresses the ethical legal issues arising in the new field of genomic medicine, and heads up the clinical ethics and law unit in Southampton as well as the national forum for such debate. She is also Chair of the local medical ethics committee and a member of the Nuffield Council of Bioethics. She is well placed to talk about the many issues facing the profession and how doctors relate to pressure groups and individuals that are anxious for their views to be heard.
