Portswood is in the Southampton Test Constituency which is made up of Portswood, Bevois, Coxford, Freemantle, Millbrook, Redbridge and Shirley Wards.

The following is important information about voter ID and deadlines for registering to vote and applying for a postal or proxy vote. All information is courtesy of Southampton City Council:

If you don’t have a photo ID, you can apply for a free voter ID, or a postal or proxy vote.
The deadline for applying for a postal vote is 5pm on 19 June, while the deadline to apply for a proxy vote and or to apply for a free voter ID is 5pm on Wednesday 26 June.
